The ZHCS500TA from Diodes Incorporated is a surface mount Schottky barrier diode designed for high efficiency rectification in low voltage applications. It offers a reverse voltage rating of 40V and a forward current capability of 500mA, with a maximum forward voltage of 550mV at 500mA. The diode exhibits a fast reverse recovery time of 10ns and a low reverse leakage current of 40µA at 30V.
This device is housed in a compact SOT23-3 package, suitable for automated surface mount assembly. It is qualified to AEC-Q101 standards for high reliability and is fully RoHS compliant, lead-free, and halogen-free. The operating junction temperature range is up to 125°C, with a power dissipation of 330mW at 25°C ambient.
Typical applications include DC-DC converters, mobile telecommunications, and PCMCIA cards where low forward voltage drop and fast switching are required. The diode is supplied in tape and reel packaging with 3000 pieces per reel.
