The ZHCS400TA from Diodes Incorporated is a 40V, 400mA surface-mount Schottky barrier diode housed in a compact SOD-323 package. It offers excellent performance with a maximum forward voltage of 500mV at 400mA and a low reverse leakage current of 40µA at 30V. The device is designed for high-efficiency applications requiring low power loss and fast switching. Thermal characteristics include a power dissipation of 250mW and a junction-to-ambient thermal resistance of 500°C/W, with an operating junction temperature range up to +125°C.
The diode is packaged in a UL 94V-0 rated SOD-323 case with matte tin plated leads, and is supplied in tape and reel with 3000 pieces per reel. It is fully RoHS3 compliant, lead-free, and halogen and antimony free (green device). Moisture sensitivity is Level 1 per J-STD-020.
Typical applications include DC-DC converters, mobile telecommunications, and PCMCIA cards, where efficient operation at elevated temperatures (above +85°C) is required. An automotive-compliant variant (ZHCS400Q) is available separately.
