The YS4020 is a ceramic PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient) thermistor manufactured by Amphenol Thermometrics, intended for use as a current limiting protection device. It features a nominal resistance of 1.1kΩ at 25°C (measured at 1mA) with ±20% tolerance, and a switching temperature of 80°C ±10°C.
This device is rated for a maximum voltage of 1000Vrms and can handle a typical inrush current of 0.6A rms (with 1.0kΩ series resistance). The maximum residual current at rated voltage is 2.0mA. It operates over a temperature range of -20°C to +60°C and can be stored from -25°C to +125°C.
The YS4020 is constructed as a bare ceramic disc with thick film silver electrodes and uninsulated tin-coated copper leadwires. It is supplied in a radial, disc package with 7.50mm lead spacing and a maximum height of 12.00mm. The disc diameter is 8.00mm with a thickness of 6.00mm.
