The YLP-02V is a 2-position plug housing from JST's YL series of disconnectable crimp-style wire-to-wire connectors. It features a 4.50mm pitch, single row design with female socket contacts (sold separately). The housing is free hanging (in-line) and secured with a latch lock mechanism, ensuring reliable connection. The white housing accommodates wire sizes AWG 26 to 16 and supports panel thicknesses of 0.7 to 2.0 mm when used with panel locks.
Electrically, the connector system is rated for 300 V AC/DC and a current rating of 10 A without secondary retainers, derating to 7 A when retainers are mounted. Contact resistance is 7 mΩ initial, not exceeding 10 mΩ after environmental tests. Insulation resistance is a minimum of 1000 MΩ, and the connector withstands 1500 VAC per minute. The operating temperature range is -25°C to 90°C.
The YL connector design includes a housing lance, secondary retainers for added contact retention, and an inner-housing lock. This plug housing mates with YLR series receptacle housings. It is RoHS2 compliant as confirmed by the datasheet. Typical applications include wiring harnesses in industrial equipment, automotive interiors, and consumer electronics.
