XTR106U Description

Short technical summary and product information.

The Texas Instruments XTR106U is a versatile monolithic current transmitter designed for cost-optimized bridge sensor applications. This device integrates complete bridge excitation capabilities, offering selectable 2.5V or 5V references, an instrumentation amplifier for flexible gain settings, and sensor linearization circuitry.

The XTR106U operates on loop power supply voltages as low as 7.5V and up to 36V, with a wide operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. It features low offset voltage drift of ±1.5 µV/°C and low span drift of ±25ppm/°C, ensuring stable performance. The device also boasts high PSRR (110dB minimum) and CMRR (86dB minimum).

Designed for ease of use, the XTR106U provides a 5.1V regulator output for powering external circuitry. Its linearization circuitry corrects the transfer function by controlling the bridge excitation voltage, offering up to a 20:1 improvement in nonlinearity. The total unadjusted error is low enough for many applications without adjustment.

Available in a 14-pin SOIC package, the XTR106U is suitable for surface mount applications. Its robust design and integrated features make it an ideal choice for various industrial and sensor interface applications requiring accurate current transmission.
