The Omron XF2M-1015-1A is a 10-position FPC connector with a 0.5mm pitch, designed for surface mount, right-angle mounting. It features gold-plated copper alloy contacts and dual-sided contact (top and bottom) for reliable connections. The housing and actuator are made of halogen-free liquid crystal polymer (LCP) with a UL94 V-0 flammability rating.
Electrically, the connector is rated for 50V and 0.5A AC/DC. Contact resistance is 50mΩ maximum, insulation resistance is 100MΩ minimum, and dielectric strength is 250V AC for 1 minute. The operating temperature range is -30°C to 85°C.
Mechanically, the connector uses a rotary backlock locking feature (rotary lock, backlock) to ensure secure FPC/FFC retention. It accepts a tapered cable end with a FPC/FFC thickness of 0.30mm. The height above board is 0.083" (2.10mm). Gold-plated type offers 20 insertion durability cycles.
The connector is RoHS compliant, REACH unaffected, and halogen free per Omron's definition (Br ≤900 ppm, Cl ≤900 ppm, Br+Cl ≤1500 ppm). MSL level is 1 (unlimited).
