The IXYS VUC25-14GO2 is a three phase rectifier bridge module combining fast recovery diodes and a separate thyristor for softstart functionality. It is rated for a maximum reverse voltage of 1400V (VRRM) and a reverse surge voltage of 1500V (VRSM). The diode section provides an average forward current of 25A (IdAV) at 85°C case temperature, while the thyristor is rated for 26A (ITAV). Surge current capability is 300A for the diode and 330A for the thyristor (10ms sine, 45°C junction). Forward voltage drop at 25°C is 2.2V max for the diode (at 55A) and 1.5V max for the thyristor (at 45A). Reverse leakage current is 0.3mA maximum at 25°C and 5mA at maximum junction temperature.
The module features a DCB (Direct Copper Bonded) ceramic base plate for excellent thermal performance and isolation voltage of 3000V RMS (50/60Hz, 1 minute). Planar passivated chips ensure reliable operation. The package is the KAMM chassis mount type, with solderable terminals and mounting torque of 2-2.5 Nm (M5 screws). Weight is 28 grams. Operating junction temperature range is -40°C to 125°C, with storage temperature same range.
Designed for input rectification in switching power supplies (SMPS), softstart capacitor charging, electric drives, and auxiliary power supplies. The fast recovery diodes reduce EMI by up to 10 dB compared to standard rectifiers. The softstart thyristor allows controlled inrush current. UL registered (E 72873).
The maximum repetitive reverse voltage (VRRM) is 1400V, with a surge capability of 1500V (VRSM).
The diode is rated for 25A average forward current (IdAV) at 85°C case temperature; the thyristor is rated for 26A (ITAV).
The diode forward voltage (VF) is 2.2V maximum at 55A and 25°C junction. The thyristor forward voltage (VT) is 1.5V maximum at 45A and 25°C.
It is supplied in a KAMM chassis mount package with solderable terminals.
The diode can handle 300A surge (IFSM) and the thyristor 330A (ITSM) for a 10ms sine half-wave at 45°C junction.
The isolation voltage (VISOL) is 3000V RMS for 1 minute at 50/60Hz.
The junction temperature range is -40°C to 125°C; storage temperature is also -40°C to 125°C.
