The VS-EPX3007L-N3 is a hyperfast recovery rectifier diode from Vishay's FRED Pt family. It is designed for high-efficiency power conversion applications, offering a maximum repetitive peak reverse voltage of 650V and an average rectified forward current of 30A at a case temperature of 111°C.
The device features a typical reverse recovery time of 27ns, enabling low switching losses in high-frequency circuits. Forward voltage drop is typically 2.1V at 25°C and 1.6V at 150°C, with maximum values of 2.5V and 1.7V respectively. The diode can withstand non-repetitive peak surge currents up to 170A.
Typical applications include PFC boost stages in AC/DC SMPS, freewheeling diodes in inverters, and output rectification. The planar structure and platinum-doped lifetime control ensure ruggedness and reliability.
The VS-EPX3007L-N3 is housed in a TO-247AD 2L through-hole package with matte tin plated leads, solderable per J-STD-002. The molding compound meets UL 94 V-0 flammability rating. Operating junction temperature range is -55°C to +175°C.
