The VS-8EWH06FN-M3 is a hyper fast rectifier diode from Vishay's FRED Pt family, designed for high efficiency power conversion. It is rated for a peak repetitive reverse voltage of 600V and an average rectified forward current of 8A at a case temperature of 143°C. The forward voltage drop is typically 2.0V at 25°C (2.4V max) and drops to 1.3V typical (1.8V max) at 150°C, reducing conduction losses at elevated temperatures.
The device features a typical reverse recovery time of 18ns, enabling high-frequency switching with reduced losses. Junction capacitance is 8pF at 600V, and reverse leakage current is 50µA max at 25°C and 500µA max at 150°C. The operating junction temperature range is -55°C to +175°C.
This diode is housed in a surface mount DPAK (TO-252AA) package, suitable for automated assembly. It meets MSL level 1 per J-STD-020 and is intended for use in PFC boost stages, freewheeling diodes, and output rectification in SMPS and inverters.
