The VS-8ETH06FP-N3 is a hyperfast rectifier diode from Vishay, part of the FRED Pt family. It is rated for a repetitive peak reverse voltage of 600V and an average rectified forward current of 8A at 108°C case temperature. Typical forward voltage is 2.0V at 8A and 25°C, dropping to 1.3V at 150°C. Reverse recovery time is typically 18ns, enabling efficient switching in power conversion circuits.
This diode features a fully isolated TO-220-2 Full Pack (TO-FullPAK 2L) package with 2500 VRMS isolation voltage. The package has matte tin plated leads, is solderable per J-STD-002, and the molding compound meets UL 94 V-0 flammability rating. Operating junction temperature range is -65°C to 175°C.
Designed for use in power factor correction boost stages, SMPS output rectification, and as freewheeling diodes in inverters, the VS-8ETH06FP-N3 offers low forward voltage drop, reduced switching losses, and soft recovery characteristics. It is qualified per JEDEC JESD 47.
