The VS-80CPQ020-N3 is a high performance Schottky rectifier manufactured by Vishay General Semiconductor - Diodes Division. It features a common cathode configuration with two 40 A legs, providing a total average forward current of 80 A. The device is optimized for 3.3 V output power supplies and offers an ultralow forward voltage drop of 0.36 V typical at 25 °C and 0.32 V at 150 °C.
The maximum DC reverse voltage is 20 V. Reverse leakage current reaches 1100 mA maximum at 125 °C. Non-repetitive surge current capability is 2200 A for a 5 µs pulse and 500 A for a 10 ms pulse per leg. Avalanche energy is rated at 27 mJ per leg. The operating temperature range is -55 °C to +150 °C.
Typical applications include parallel switching power supplies, converters, reverse battery protection, and redundant power subsystems. The guard ring design enhances ruggedness and long-term reliability. The part is designed and qualified according to JEDEC-JESD 47.
The device is housed in a TO-247AC package (TO-247-3) with through-hole mounting. It has three pins and a common cathode circuit configuration.
