The VS-30CTH02-M3 is a hyperfast recovery rectifier array from Vishay, containing two diodes in a common cathode configuration. It is rated for a maximum repetitive reverse voltage of 200 V and an average forward current of 15 A per diode (30 A per device). The device exhibits a low forward voltage drop of 0.92 V typical at 25°C and 0.78 V typical at 125°C, with a fast reverse recovery time of 35 ns typical. Reverse leakage current is limited to 10 µA maximum at 25°C. The junction temperature can reach up to 175°C, supporting high power density applications.
This rectifier uses planar structure and platinum-doped lifetime control to optimize performance, ruggedness, and reliability. It is designed for output rectification in switch-mode power supplies (SMPS), uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), DC/DC converters, and as a freewheeling diode in low-voltage inverters and chopper motor drives. The fast recovery and low stored charge minimize switching losses.
The device is housed in a through-hole TO-220-3 package, which allows for easy mounting and heat sinking. The package is RoHS compliant and rated MSL 1 (unlimited), though these compliances are unverified from current data. The part is part of the FRED Pt family of hyperfast rectifiers.
