The VN820SP-E from STMicroelectronics is a high side N-channel power switch designed for general purpose power distribution applications. It offers a continuous load current of 9A and a maximum on-resistance of 40mOhm. The device features auto restart and status flag outputs for diagnostics. Built-in fault protection includes fixed current limiting, open load detection, over temperature, and over voltage protection. The switch operates over a wide junction temperature range of -40°C to 150°C. It uses a simple On/Off interface with non-inverting input. The device is housed in a 10-lead PowerSO package with an exposed bottom pad for enhanced thermal performance. Surface mount mounting is supported.
