The Vishay VEML7700-TT is a high-accuracy, 16-bit digital ambient light sensor designed for applications requiring precise light level detection. It communicates via an I2C interface and operates within a supply voltage range of 2.5V to 3.6V.
This sensor features a wide dynamic range for ambient light detection, from 0 lx to approximately 140 klx, with a resolution down to 0.0042 lx/ct. It includes 100 Hz and 120 Hz flicker noise rejection and excellent temperature compensation, making it suitable for various environmental conditions.
The VEML7700-TT is available in a miniature surface-mount, side-view package measuring 6.8 mm x 2.35 mm x 3.0 mm. Its applications include backlight dimming for displays in TVs, smartphones, and PDAs, as well as industrial lighting control and optical switching in consumer, computing, and industrial devices.
