The Vicor VE-RAM-M1 is a component-level solution for power systems architects seeking to attenuate output ripple and noise. It can be connected to VI-200 or VI-J00 converters, FlatPACs, ComPACs, or MegaMods with output voltages ranging from 5 to 50V.
This module combines active and passive filtering techniques to attenuate both low-frequency input power source harmonics and high-frequency switching components across the frequency range of DC to 20MHz. It achieves this while maintaining high efficiencies between 93% and 99%. The VE-RAM-M1 limits total output noise to less than 3mV peak-to-peak at loads up to 20A.
Designed for ease of use, no adjustments are required, and features such as remote sense and output voltage trim are retained. The VE-RAM-M1 offers an alternative to linear power sources and external add-on filters, eliminating associated penalties in space, efficiency, and weight.
