The Vishay VCAN26A2-03GHE3-08 is a bidirectional symmetrical (BiSy) ESD protection diode housed in a compact SOT-323 package. It is specifically designed for automotive applications, including CAN and FLEX-bus systems, providing robust protection for two lines.
This TVS diode features a working range of ±26.5V and a low load capacitance of less than 15 pF, minimizing impact on signal integrity. It offers excellent ESD immunity, capable of withstanding ±30 kV contact and air discharge according to IEC 61000-4-2 standards. The device also meets AEC-Q101 qualification for human body model ESD capability, exceeding 8 kV.
With a peak pulse current rating of 3A (8/20 μs) and a peak pulse power of 150W, the VCAN26A2-03GHE3-08 provides reliable protection against transient voltage events. It operates over a wide temperature range from -55°C to 175°C (junction temperature) and features low leakage current below 0.05 μA.
The SOT-323 package is suitable for surface mount applications. The pins are tin-plated, and the device is RoHS 3 compliant and lead-free. This component is AEC-Q101 qualified, making it suitable for demanding automotive environments.
