The VC120630D650DP is a TransGuard series multilayer ceramic transient voltage suppressor (varistor) from Kyocera AVX. It provides bi-directional overvoltage protection with a typical varistor voltage of 41V (minimum 36.9V, maximum 45.1V). The device is rated for maximum AC voltage of 21V and maximum DC voltage of 30V.
This varistor can handle peak surge currents up to 120A and absorbs transient energy up to 0.4J. It offers a capacitance of 600pF at 1kHz, which contributes to EMI/RFI filtering in addition to transient suppression. The operating temperature range is -55°C to +125°C.
