The Vishay VBUS05L1-DD1-G-08 is a bidirectional, symmetrical ESD protection diode designed for single-line applications. It provides robust protection against transient overvoltages, clamping both positive and negative transients to ground.
Key electrical specifications include a working voltage of ±5.5V, a breakdown voltage of 17V, and a maximum peak pulse current rating of 2A (8/20µs). The device boasts a very low load capacitance of 0.3pF, making it suitable for high-speed data lines. Its leakage current is less than 0.1μA, ensuring minimal impact on signal integrity.
This ESD protection diode is housed in an ultra-compact LLP1006-2M package, also known as SOD-882, with a low profile of less than 0.4mm. It is designed for surface mount applications and operates within a temperature range of -40°C to 125°C.
The VBUS05L1-DD1-G-08 offers ESD immunity according to IEC 61000-4-2 standards, with ±15kV contact discharge and ±16kV air discharge capabilities. The pin plating is NiPdAu (e4), which prevents whisker growth.
