The Littelfuse V42MLA1206H is a surface mount multilayer varistor (MLV) from the MLA Series, designed for transient voltage surge suppression at the circuit board level. It features a typical varistor voltage of 53V (minimum 46V, maximum 60V) and is rated for a maximum DC voltage of 42V and maximum AC voltage of 30V.
This varistor can handle surge currents up to 180A (8/20µs waveform) and surge energy up to 0.8J (10/1000µs waveform). Typical capacitance is 425pF at 1MHz. The component operates over a temperature range of -40°C to +125°C.
