The V275LA40A is a metal oxide varistor (MOV) from Littelfuse's LA Series, designed for transient voltage surge suppression across AC power lines. It features a typical varistor voltage of 430V, with a minimum of 387V and maximum of 473V. The device can handle peak pulse currents up to 6.5kA and absorbs up to 140J of energy. Capacitance is 900pF at 1MHz. The varistor is rated for continuous AC voltage up to 275V and DC voltage up to 369V. It operates over a temperature range of -55°C to 85°C. The component is housed in a 20mm disc package with through-hole radial leads. The LA Series is UL recognized, CSA certified, and approved by VDE and CECC.
