The V22ZA1P is a metal-oxide varistor (MOV) from Littelfuse's ZA series, designed for transient voltage surge suppression in low and medium-voltage circuits. It features a typical varistor voltage of 22V at 1mA DC (range 19.8V to 24.2V) and can handle a maximum AC voltage of 14V and DC voltage of 18V. The device can absorb up to 250A peak pulse current (8/20µs wave) and 0.9J single-pulse energy (10/1000µs wave). Capacitance is 2375pF typical at 1MHz.
The varistor is housed in a 7mm disc package with through-hole radial leads, suitable for hard-wired or PCB mounting. It operates over a temperature range of -55°C to 85°C with no derating up to 85°C. The coating provides 1000MΩ insulation resistance and 2500V isolation.
Compliance includes RoHS (datasheet states lead-free and halogen-free), REACH unaffected, and MSL 1. The part is intended for applications such as motor control, telecom, solenoid, and power supply protection.
