The Littelfuse V20E140P is an UltraMOV series metal oxide varistor (MOV) designed for AC line voltage applications requiring high surge current and energy absorption. It features a typical varistor voltage of 220V and a maximum peak surge current of 10kA (8x20 µs pulse). The device can absorb up to 110J of energy (2 ms square wave).
This varistor provides voltage clamping for transient overvoltage protection in circuits such as surge protection devices (SPDs), uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), and AC power taps. It is housed in a Disc 20mm package with radial leads for through-hole mounting. The operating temperature range is -55°C to 85°C (standard epoxy coating) or up to 125°C with phenolic coating option.
The V20E140P is lead-free, halogen-free, and RoHS compliant. It is UL recognized and TUV certified with an isolation voltage rating of 2500V.
