The UTR42 is a general-purpose fast recovery rectifier diode designed for moderate frequency switching applications. It features a maximum reverse voltage (Vr) of 400V and an average rectified forward current (Io) of 2A. The forward voltage drop (Vf) is 1.1V maximum at 1A, and the reverse recovery time (trr) is 350ns, making it suitable for high-efficiency rectification. The junction capacitance is 60pF at 0V and 1MHz. The diode operates over a wide junction temperature range from -65°C to 175°C. It is housed in a through-hole A, Axial package, which is easy to mount on PCBs. The UTR42 is compliant with RoHS, REACH, and has an MSL of 1 (unlimited). Typical applications include general purpose rectification, freewheeling diodes, and reverse polarity protection.
