The Microchip Technology USB3340-EZK-TR is a USB 2.0 transceiver designed for versatile connectivity and charging applications. It supports the USB-IF Battery Charging 1.2 Specification and can deliver up to 1.5 Amps of charging current via a compatible USB host or dedicated charger.
This transceiver features integrated ESD protection circuits capable of ±25kV IEC Air Discharge, and Over-Voltage Protection (OVP) up to 30V on the VBUS pin. It also supports Link Power Management (LPM) Specification and the On-The-Go (OTG) protocol, including Host Negotiation Protocol (HNP) and Session Request Protocol (SRP).
The device operates with an IO Voltage range of 1.8V to 3.3V. It is housed in a 32-VFQFN Exposed Pad package with dimensions of 5 x 5 mm and a package height of 0.90 mm, suitable for surface mount applications.
