The Microchip Technology USB2512BI-AEZG is a cost-effective and power-efficient USB 2.0 Hi-Speed Hub Controller IC designed for embedded USB solutions. This device supports low-speed, full-speed, and hi-speed downstream devices on its enabled ports.
Key features include a high-performance multiple transaction translator (MultiTRAKTM), flexible port mapping (PortMap), and programmable USB differential-pair pin locations (PortSwap) to ease PCB design. The controller supports full power management with individual or ganged power control for downstream ports and includes integrated USB termination and pull-up/pulldown resistors.
Operating from a single external 3.3V supply, the USB2512BI-AEZG provides internal regulators for core voltage. It offers customizable vendor ID, product ID, and device ID, along with 4 kilovolts of HBM ESD protection. The device supports self-or bus-powered operation and the USB Battery Charging specification Rev. 1.1 for Charging Downstream Ports (CDP).
