The US2MA is a super fast surface mount rectifier diode manufactured by onsemi (formerly ON Semiconductor). It features a glass passivated chip junction for high reliability and is designed for fast switching applications requiring reverse recovery times of 75 ns maximum. The device is rated for a repetitive peak reverse voltage of 1000 V and an average forward current of 1.5 A, with a typical forward voltage of 1.7 V at 1.5 A. It can handle a peak forward surge current of 50 A (8.3 ms single half-sine wave).
The diode is housed in a DO-214AC (SMA) package and is supplied in tape and reel packaging for automated assembly. It operates over a junction temperature range of -55°C to 150°C and has a typical junction-to-ambient thermal resistance of 189 °C/W. The part is RoHS compliant and has an MSL rating of 1 (unlimited) per J-STD-020.
This diode is suitable for high-voltage, fast-switching applications such as power supplies, inverters, and freewheeling diodes. The automotive-grade variant NRVUS2MA is also available, which is AEC-Q101 qualified and PPAP capable.
