The Sensata UPL11-9945-1 is a hydraulic magnetic circuit breaker from the APL/UPL series, designed for reliable power switching, circuit protection, and control. This model features a 2-pole configuration with a lever actuator for manual operation and a panel mount for secure installation.
This circuit protector operates similarly to an ON-OFF switch under normal load conditions. Upon detecting an overload, its internal mechanism trips, opening the contacts and forcibly returning the handle to the OFF position. The 'trip-free' design ensures the internal contacts cannot remain closed during an overload, even if the handle is held in the ON position.
The APL/UPL line offers various configurations, including series, shunt, and relay types, with a choice of delays and ratings. Multi-pole assemblies are available with mixed current ratings, delays, and internal circuit configurations. These protectors are suitable for industrial, military, and information processing applications where precision operation is required.
