UPL11-35758-1

The Sensata APL/UPL series hydraulic magnetic circuit protector, model UPL11-35758-1, provides reliable and low-cost power switching, circuit protection, and control. This 2-pole breaker features a lever actuator for manual operation, similar to an ON-OFF switch. Upon detecting an overload, the internal mechanism trips, opening the contacts and forcibly returning the handle to the OFF position. The protector is designed to be 'trip free,' ensuring contacts do not remain closed under overload conditions, even if the handle is held ON.

Designed for industrial, military, and information processing applications, this circuit breaker is suitable for situations requiring precision operation. It is recognized by UL per UL STD. 1077 as a supplementary protector and certified by CSA per CSA STD. C22.2–No. 235. The UPL11-35758-1 is a legacy product and is designated for existing design-in only, with no new design-in orders being accepted. Sensata Technologies recommends the Airpax™ IAL series for new designs.

The UPL11-35758-1 features a panel mount type for easy integration into control panels. Multi-pole assemblies like this one have linked actuating handles and internally coupled trip mechanisms, meaning a fault in any protected circuit opens all poles simultaneously. This configuration is useful for two-phase circuits, single-phase three-wire systems, or multiple related but electrically isolated circuits.
