The Sensata UPL1-28147-5 is a single pole hydraulic magnetic circuit breaker from the APL/UPL series. This legacy product is designed for reliable power switching, circuit protection, and control. It features a lever actuator for manual operation, functioning similarly to an ON-OFF switch under normal load conditions. Upon detecting an overload, the internal mechanism trips, opening the contacts and forcibly returning the handle to the OFF position. The "trip free" design ensures the internal contacts will not remain closed during an overload, even if the handle is held in the ON position.
This circuit breaker is suitable for industrial, military, and information processing applications where precision operation is required. It is designed for panel mounting. The APL/UPL family is recognized by UL and certified by CSA as supplementary protectors.
