UPL1-27936-1

The Sensata UPL1-27936-1 is a magnetic hydraulic delay circuit breaker designed for reliable circuit protection. This single-pole unit features lever actuation and is intended for panel mounting applications.

As a legacy product, the APL/UPL series, including the UPL1-27936-1, is noted as 'Existing Design-In Only' with no new design-in orders accepted. Sensata Technologies recommends the Airpax™ IAL series for new designs. The APL/UPL magnetic circuit protector provides low-cost power switching, circuit protection, and control. Its internal mechanism trips upon overload, forcibly returning the handle to the OFF position, and is 'trip free' to prevent holding contacts closed during an overload.

This series offers various configurations, including series, shunt, and relay types, with a choice of delays and ratings. Multi-pole assemblies are available, combining different current ratings, delays, and internal circuit configurations. While designed for industrial, military, and information processing applications, the APL is suitable for any situation requiring precision operation. Most versions are recognized by UL per UL STD. 1077 as supplementary protectors and certified by CSA per CSA STD. C22.2–No. 235, designated with the UPL prefix.
