The Sensata UPL1-2688-18 is a single-pole hydraulic magnetic circuit protector from the APL/UPL series. This legacy product is designed for reliable, low-cost power switching, circuit protection, and control.
Key features include a lever actuator for manual operation, similar to an ON-OFF switch, and a panel mount design for easy integration. Upon overload, the internal mechanism trips, opening the contacts and forcibly returning the handle to the OFF position. The protector is 'trip free,' ensuring contacts do not remain closed under overload conditions, even if the handle is held ON.
This circuit protector is suitable for industrial, military, and information processing applications where precision operation is required. It is recognized by UL per UL STD. 1077 as a supplementary protector and certified by CSA per CSA STD. C22.2–No. 235.
