The Sensata UPL1-24807-1 is a hydraulic magnetic circuit protector from the APL/UPL series. This single-pole unit is designed for panel mounting and features a convenient lever actuator for operation. It provides reliable, low-cost power switching, circuit protection, and circuit control.
This circuit protector operates like an ON-OFF switch under normal load conditions. Upon detecting an overload, its internal mechanism trips, opening the contacts and forcibly returning the handle to the OFF position. The "trip free" design ensures the internal contacts cannot remain closed during an overload, even if the handle is held in the ON position.
The APL/UPL series offers various configurations, including series, shunt, and relay types, with a choice of delays and ratings. Multi-pole assemblies are also available, allowing for mixed current ratings, delays, and internal circuit configurations. These protectors are suitable for industrial, military, and information processing applications where precision operation is required.
Note: The APL/UPL series is a legacy product, and new design-in orders are not being accepted. Sensata Technologies recommends the Airpax™ IAL series for new designs.
