The Sensata UPL1-1REC4-24103-1 is a single-pole hydraulic magnetic circuit protector from the APL/UPL series. This legacy product is designed for reliable, low-cost power switching, circuit protection, and control. It features a lever actuator for manual operation, similar to an ON-OFF switch, and a panel mount for secure installation.
Upon overload conditions, the internal mechanism trips, opening the contacts and forcibly returning the handle to the OFF position. The protector is "trip free," meaning the internal contacts will not remain closed in the presence of an overload, even if the handle is held in the ON position. This ensures effective protection against faults.
While this specific part number is for a single-pole configuration, the APL/UPL line offers many configurations including series, shunt, and relay types with a choice of delays and ratings. Multi-pole assemblies are also available. These protectors are suitable for industrial, military, and information processing applications where precision operation is required.
