The Sensata UPL1-1REC4-1402-490 is a single-pole hydraulic magnetic circuit breaker from the APL/UPL series. This legacy product is designed for reliable, low-cost power switching, circuit protection, and circuit control. It features a lever actuator for manual operation, similar to an ON-OFF switch, and a panel mount for secure installation.
Upon detecting an overload, the internal mechanism trips, opening the contacts and forcibly returning the handle to the OFF position. The 'trip-free' design ensures the internal contacts will not remain closed during an overload, even if the handle is held in the ON position. This protector is suitable for industrial, military, and information processing applications where precision operation is required.
This model is recognized by UL per UL STD. 1077 as a supplementary protector and certified by CSA per CSA STD. C22.2–No. 235. It is important to note that the APL/UPL series is a legacy product, and new design-in orders are not being accepted. Sensata Technologies recommends utilizing the Airpax™ IAL series for new designs.
