The ULN2004AID from Texas Instruments is a versatile 7-channel high-voltage, high-current Darlington transistor array. Each of the seven npn Darlington pairs is capable of handling a 500 mA collector current and features high-voltage outputs up to 50V. Integrated common-cathode clamp diodes are included for switching inductive loads effectively.
This device is designed for direct compatibility with TTL or 5-V CMOS devices, featuring a 10.5 kΩ series base resistor for each Darlington pair. The ULN2004AID is suitable for a wide range of applications, including relay drivers, hammer drivers, lamp drivers, display drivers (LED and gas discharge), line drivers, and logic buffers.
Packaged in a 16-SOIC surface-mount format, the ULN2004AID operates within a temperature range of -40°C to 105°C. Its robust design and integrated features make it a reliable choice for power driving applications requiring high voltage and current handling capabilities.
