The ULN2002A is a high-voltage, high-current Darlington transistor array from Allegro Microsystems, featuring seven NPN Darlington pairs. Each pair is equipped with common-cathode clamp diodes suitable for switching inductive loads.
This array boasts high-voltage outputs rated up to 50V and a collector current rating of 500mA per single output. The inputs are compatible with CMOS devices, specifically designed for 14V to 25V PMOS applications. Each input includes a Zener diode and series resistor to manage input current.
Applications for the ULN2002A include relay drivers, hammer drivers, lamp drivers, LED and gas discharge display drivers, line drivers, and logic buffers. The Darlington pairs can be paralleled for increased current capability.
The device is supplied in a PDIP (N) package with 16 pins. Its operating temperature range is -20°C to 70°C.
