The UJA1168ATK/XF/0Z from NXP Semiconductors is a mini high-speed CAN System Basis Chip (SBC) featuring an ISO 11898-2:2016 and SAE J2284-1 to SAE J2284-5 compliant HS-CAN transceiver. It integrates a 5 V/100 mA supply for a microcontroller, a watchdog, and a Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI).
This transceiver supports very-low-current Standby and Sleep modes with bus and local wake-up capabilities, and is designed for CAN partial networking with a selective wake-up function. It enables reliable communication in the CAN FD fast phase at data rates up to 5 Mbit/s. The device offers a wide operating voltage range of 3V to 28V and operates at temperatures from -40°C to 150°C (TJ).
Packaged in a 14-HVSON (3x4.5) or 14-VDFN Exposed Pad, the UJA1168ATK/XF/0Z is suitable for surface mount applications. It includes ±8 kV ESD protection on the CAN bus pins, enhancing its robustness in automotive environments.
