The UGB8DT is a superfast efficient SMD rectifier diode from Diotec Semiconductor, part of the UGB8AT to UGB8JT family. Designed for rectification of higher frequencies and high-efficiency switching stages, it offers a repetitive peak reverse voltage of 200V and an average forward current of 8A at TC=100°C.
Key electrical characteristics include a maximum forward voltage drop of 0.9V at 5A and 1.0V at 8A at 25°C, a typical reverse recovery time of 25ns (35ns max) under IF=0.5A, IR=1A conditions, and a low reverse leakage current of 5µA at 25°C. The device can handle a peak forward surge current of 125A (60Hz half sine, 8.3ms) and has a junction capacitance of 50pF typical at 4V. The junction operating temperature range is -50°C to 150°C, with a maximum thermal resistance junction-to-case of 2.5 K/W.
The UGB8DT is housed in a TO-263AB (D²PAK) surface mount package, with MSL=1 (unlimited) and a weight of approximately 1.6g. It is packed in tubes; tape and reel packaging is available on request. The device is compliant with RoHS (exemption 7a), REACH, and Conflict Minerals, and optional AEC-Q101 qualified versions (suffix -Q or -AQ) are available.
