The UF4006 is a fast recovery rectifier diode from On Semiconductor, part of the UF4001-UF4007 series. It is rated for a maximum repetitive reverse voltage (VRRM) of 800V and an average rectified forward current (IF(AV)) of 1A at 75°C ambient with 0.375" lead length. The forward voltage drop is 1.7V maximum at 1A forward current. The reverse recovery time (trr) is 75ns maximum, making it suitable for high-speed switching applications.
The diode offers a non-repetitive peak forward surge current (IFSM) of 30A for an 8.3ms single half-sine-wave. Total capacitance is 17pF at 4V reverse bias and 1MHz. Maximum reverse current is 10µA at 25°C and 50µA at 100°C. The device is glass-passivated for high reliability.
The UF4006 is packaged in a DO-204AL (DO-41) axial leaded package, designed for through-hole mounting. It is lead-free (Pb-Free) and available in tape and reel packaging with a standard quantity of 5000 pieces per reel. The operating junction temperature range is -65°C to 150°C.
This diode is commonly used in power supply rectification, freewheeling, and snubber circuits where fast recovery is required to reduce switching losses.
