The UDN2559B from Allegro Microsystems is a quad power driver IC that integrates AND logic gates with high-current bipolar outputs. Each of the four outputs can sink up to 700 mA.
This device offers robust protection features, including independent overcurrent protection for each channel, activated at approximately 1 A, and thermal limiting circuits to protect the device and individual drivers. It also includes integral output flyback diodes for inductive load protection.
The UDN2559B is compatible with TTL and 5V CMOS logic systems. Its outputs have a minimum breakdown voltage of 60V (load dump) and a sustaining voltage of 40V. It is suitable for driving loads such as incandescent lamps, relays, solenoids, and DC stepping motors.
