The XP Power UCP180PS18 is a versatile AC-DC power supply designed for ITE and medical applications. It offers a nominal output voltage of 18V and can deliver up to 120W of power under convection cooling, or 180W with forced air cooling.
This series is designed to meet environmental legislation with low no-load power consumption (<0.5W) and high efficiency up to 92%. It operates over a wide input voltage range of 85 to 264 VAC and features Class B conducted and Class A radiated emissions.
The UCP180PS18 has a compact footprint of 4.24" x 2.47" and an ultra-low profile of 1.16". It is safety approved for operation in a 70°C ambient temperature and includes approvals for medical (BF, 2 x MOPP) and ITE applications. The unit also provides a 12V/0.5A fan output.
Key specifications include ±0.5% line and load regulation, a 2-second start-up delay, and a hold-up time of 19ms. The MTBF is rated at 300 khrs at +25°C.
The UCP180PS18 provides a nominal 18V DC output. It can deliver up to 10A with forced air cooling or 6.67A under convection cooling.
With forced air cooling, the converter operates up to 180W within a -20°C to 70°C range. Under convection cooling, the power derates to 120W but supports a wider -40°C to 70°C operating temperature.
The unit is certified for ITE and Medical applications, featuring BF patient protection and two times MOPP isolation standards.
The converter provides 4kV of electrical isolation between input and output.
It utilizes an open frame construction designed for chassis mounting.
The mean time between failure (MTBF) is rated at 300,000 hours based on MIL-HDBK-217F standards at +25°C.
