The Semtech uClamp0551Y is an ultra-small, 1-line ESD protection TVS diode designed to safeguard sensitive electronic components from transient overvoltages. It is suitable for protecting data or power lines operating at 5 Volts.
This diode offers robust protection with a high ESD withstand voltage of +/-20kV contact per IEC 61000-4-2. It features a low typical dynamic resistance of 0.37 Ohms and a low capacitance of 6.9pF at VR=0V, minimizing loading on sensitive circuits. The device provides a working voltage of +/-5V and a clamping voltage of 12V at 1A, with a peak pulse current rating of 2.5A (8/20µs) and a peak pulse power of 30W.
Packaged in a compact SLP0603P2X3E (0201 size) surface-mount package measuring 0.6 x 0.3 x 0.25 mm, the uClamp0551Y is ideal for portable applications where space is limited. Its lead finish is NiAu, and it is supplied on tape and reel.
