UCD9090ARGZR

The Texas Instruments UCD9090ARGZR is an active 10-rail power supply sequencer and monitor IC designed for robust power management applications. It offers the capability to monitor and sequence up to 10 voltage rails, with all rails sampled every 400 microseconds. The device incorporates a 12-bit Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC) with a precise 2.5-V, 0.5% internal voltage reference.

Key features include sequencing based on time, rail, and pin dependencies, along with four programmable undervoltage and overvoltage thresholds per monitor. Nonvolatile error and peak-value logging are available for up to 26 fault detail entries. The UCD9090ARGZR supports closed-loop margining for all 10 rails, allowing margin outputs to adjust rail voltage to user-defined thresholds. It also includes a programmable watchdog timer and system reset functionality.

This sequencer and monitor IC is housed in a 48-VQFN (7x7 mm) package, suitable for surface mounting. It supports flexible digital I/O configuration and can respond to GPI-triggered faults. The device can be easily cascaded with multiple power sequencers for coordinated fault responses. Communication interfaces include JTAG and I2C/SMBus/PMBus.

The UCD9090ARGZR operates within an industrial temperature range of -40°C to 125°C. Its multiphase PWM clock generator provides clock frequencies from 15.259 kHz to 125 MHz, with configurable independent clock outputs for synchronizing switch-mode power supplies.
