The Texas Instruments UCD9081RHBR is an 8-channel power supply sequencer and monitor designed for systems requiring precise control over multiple voltage rails. This device sequences and monitors eight voltage rails with a resolution of 3.2 mV. It operates from a single 3.3V supply voltage and consumes a nominal current of 3 mA.
The UCD9081RHBR offers flexible rail sequencing based on timeline, parent rail regulation, or threshold achievement. It includes independent under- and overvoltage thresholds per rail, with configurable regulation expiration times. The device supports flexible alarm processing, including logging errors with timestamps for under/overvoltage glitches, sustained issues, and startup failures.
This sequencer features four configurable digital outputs for power-on-reset and other functions, with adjustable output polarity. It has on-chip flash memory for storing user data and error logging, facilitating system failure analysis. The device communicates via an I2C interface and includes a Microsoft Windows GUI for configuration and monitoring.
Packaged in a 32-VQFN (5x5 mm) with an exposed pad, the UCD9081RHBR is suitable for surface mount applications. Its operating temperature range is -40°C to 85°C (TA). Key applications include telecommunications, servers, networking equipment, test equipment, and industrial systems requiring the sequencing of multiple voltage rails.
