The Texas Instruments UCD90160ARGCR is an advanced 16-rail PMBus power supply sequencer and system manager designed for complex power management applications. This device offers comprehensive monitoring and sequencing capabilities for up to 16 voltage rails, with all rails sampled every 400 microseconds by an integrated 12-bit Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC).
The UCD90160ARGCR supports sequencing based on time, rail, and pin dependencies, providing flexibility in power-up and power-down sequences. It features four programmable undervoltage and overvoltage thresholds per monitor, along with nonvolatile error and peak-value logging for up to 12 fault detail entries. Closed-loop margining is supported for 10 rails, allowing the margin output to adjust rail voltage to user-defined thresholds.
For system reliability, the device includes a programmable watchdog timer and system reset functionality. It can be easily cascaded with multiple power sequencers for coordinated fault responses.
