Utilizing average current-mode control, the UC3854N provides stable, fixed-frequency current control with low distortion. It includes a low-offset analog multiplier and divider, a 1-A totem-pole gate driver, and a precision voltage reference. The device is suitable for offline AC-to-DC converters used in medical, industrial, telecom, and IT power supplies, as well as uninterruptible power supplies and appliances.

 

The UC3854N is available in a 16-PDIP through-hole package, with an operating temperature range of 0°C to 70°C. It operates with a supply voltage between 14.5V and 30V and draws an operating current of 1.5 mA. The device is designed for chopping frequencies up to 200 kHz.
