The Texas Instruments TXS0102DCUR is a 2-bit bidirectional voltage-level translator designed for open-drain and push-pull applications. It operates with an input voltage range of 1.65V to 3.6V on one side and 2.3V to 5.5V on the other, with VCCA less than or equal to VCCB. This device supports maximum data rates of 24Mbps for push-pull signals and 2Mbps for open-drain signals.
Key features include auto-direction sensing, eliminating the need for a direction-control signal. It also offers edge rate acceleration, output enable functionality, and partial power-down (Ioff) support. The VCC isolation feature ensures both ports are in a high-impedance state if either VCC input is at ground. No power-supply sequencing is required, as either VCCA or VCCB can be ramped first.
The TXS0102DCUR is available in an 8-VSSOP package and operates within a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. Its latch-up performance exceeds 100mA per JESD 78, Class II, and ESD protection is robust, with up to 8kV on the B port via the Human-Body Model.
This translator is suitable for applications such as GPIO, I2C, MDIO, SDIO, SMBus, and UART interfaces, providing flexible voltage translation between different logic levels.
