TXB0104YZTR Description

Short technical summary and product information.

The TXB0104YZTR from Texas Instruments is a 4-bit, non-inverting, bidirectional voltage-level translator designed for universal low-voltage translation. It features two separate configurable power-supply rails, with the A port tracking VCCA (1.2V to 3.6V) and the B port tracking VCCB (1.65V to 5.5V). This allows for seamless translation between various voltage nodes including 1.2V, 1.5V, 1.8V, 2.5V, 3.3V, and 5V.

Key features include automatic direction sensing, a VCC isolation function that places outputs in a high-impedance state when VCC is at GND, and an output enable (OE) input referenced to VCCA. The device offers low power consumption with a maximum ICC of 5μA and supports partial power-down mode operation via its I OFF circuitry. It also provides robust ESD protection, exceeding JESD 22 standards for both A and B ports.

This translator is supplied in a compact 12-pin DSBGA package, suitable for surface mounting. It operates within a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C and is available on a large tape and reel with a standard package quantity of 3,000 units.
