The TVS3301DRBR is a 33V bidirectional flat-clamp surge protection device from Texas Instruments. It uses a feedback mechanism to provide precise flat clamping during a fault, keeping system exposure lower than traditional TVS diodes. The device shunts up to 27A of IEC 61000-4-5 fault current to protect systems from high-power transients or lightning strikes.
Key electrical specifications include a standoff voltage of ±33V, a minimum breakdown voltage of 34.4V, and a clamping voltage of 40V at 27A. The device features low leakage current of 2.5nA typical at 27°C and low IO capacitance of 54pF, minimizing its effect on protected lines. It also integrates Level 4 IEC 61000-4-2 ESD protection.
The TVS3301DRBR is housed in a small 8-VDFN exposed pad package (8-SON 3x3mm) for surface mount assembly. It is designed for industrial signal line protection and can survive over 5,000 repetitive strikes of 25A 8/20µs surge current.
