The Texas Instruments TVP5151PBS is an ultralow-power video decoder IC designed for NTSC, PAL, and SECAM video standards. It supports ITU-R BT.601 standard sampling and features a high-speed 9-bit Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC). The device offers two composite inputs or one S-Video input, with fully differential CMOS analog preprocessing channels.
This video decoder operates within a supply voltage range of 1.65V to 1.95V and features ultralow power consumption, with a power-down mode consuming less than 1 mW. Control of brightness, saturation, hue, and sharpness is managed through an I2C interface. It includes adaptive comb filters for noise reduction and a patented architecture for locking to weak or unstable signals.
